WHY I BUILT AGELESS BALANCE

This Program Has Nothing to Do With Making a Profit

I built Ageless Balance to be what seniors actually need to stay active and live their lives fully, to the end. Not what's convenient to teach. Not what's trendy. What works for real people with real limitations.

My mom needed safe fitness options but couldn't find them. Most programs were either too advanced, too intimidating, caused her pain, or designed for younger bodies. I knew there was a better way.

Built from feedback, not assumptions — I don't just invite your input, I need it. This program only works if I'm writing classes you can do AND want to do.

Every class is different — I get bored teaching the same class over and over. You get bored doing them. So every class is new, researched, tested by me first, and designed to flow.

Success is individual to you — I use time to do a set of exercises, not repetitions. If you do 5 reps correctly in 30 seconds and last week you did 4, you gained, you succeeded.

HOW I BUILD EVERY CLASS

I Write Every Class Myself. Here's Why That Matters.

I've exercised my entire life, and I know how hard it is to stay motivated. That's why I do everything I can to make classes effective, informative, and actually enjoyable.

My process for every single class:

  • Research the exercises using professional PT databases to ensure I'm presenting them correctly and safely

  • Do them myself first to make sure they flow and work for different ability levels

  • Test modifications because everyone has different limitations, injuries, or conditions

  • Make it different every time so you don't get bored and I don't get bored teaching

Many of my students tell me they've gone to physical therapy or occupational therapy and their therapists have them do the same exercises we do in class. That's not by accident — I use the same professional resources they use.

What Makes My Approach Different
I don't just teach exercises — I create an environment where you actually want to come back.

How I teach:

🎯 "Meet you where you're at" is real — Not just a tagline. I use time instead of reps so you're never trying to keep up with someone else's pace. Your success is measured against YOU, not the person next to you on Zoom.

💬 I want your feedback — If you don't like an exercise, tell me. If something doesn't feel right, speak up. If you want to try something new, let me know. This program only works if you help me make it work for you.

📚 I make it fun AND informative — You're not just following along. I explain why we're doing each exercise, what muscle groups we're working, and how it connects to daily life. Knowledge keeps you engaged.

I'm available after every class — Stay on Zoom and ask questions, discuss concerns, or just check in. Real support from someone who understands your needs.

The bottom line: If you like the exercises, you can do them, and the class is engaging, you'll WANT to come back. That's the only way fitness works long-term.

Credentials & Recognition

I'm a Certified ACE Instructor with specialties in Senior Fitness, Personal Training, and Group Fitness. I also trained through SilverSneakers, the Arthritis Foundation's Walk With Ease program, and national fall-prevention initiatives including A Matter of Balance and the Stepping On Falls Prevention program.

My work has been featured in the Wisconsin State Journal and the University of Wisconsin Magazine, and I was honored as a Best of Madison finalist for online fitness instruction.

But my greatest reward is helping older adults rediscover strength, restore confidence, and stay independent — adding not just years to life, but life to years.
